ruggles station

Harmonic Conduit by O+A will sonically link two communities, Northeastern University and Roxbury with a new sound installation in Boston's Ruggles Station. The asymetry of power between the communities can be heard in the soundscapes O+A will tap to create a real-time harmony between the two. It opens March 8th, 2017 as part of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum's exhibition, "Listen Hear: The Art of Sound", with funding by the Goethe Institut, Boston.

I've been working with Michael Schneider at ESI design to make an interactive media wall for Terrell Place in Washington, DC.   The media environment changes with time and sensor data from the inhabitants who'se motion through these hallways shapes the ambient soundscape, derived from musical references in Mary Church Terrell's wonderful autobiography, "A Colored Woman in a White World".  Architect Magazine   vimeo
